facilitating excellence in the delivery of services
Functions
The Support
Services Department is mandated to provide all services in
support of the 5 policy and implementation departments. In
particular the Department is responsible for human resource
management including HR plans and forecasts, job
specifications, coordination of staff performance appraisal,
training and development, discipline and grievances, health
and safety including HIV and AIDS policies and
implementation, records management, transport, library,
secretarial and utilities, security, maintenance services,
ministry financial management, ministry stores/purchase and
supplies, and public relations. The department also provides
legal services including court appearances. Management and
maintenance of the centralised computer hardware used for
financial management is a key function of this department. |
