The Public is reminded of my announcement of last Friday, in which I advised that the Honourable Minister of Finance and Development Planning will present the Budget to Parliament on 28 March 2007.

The Cabinet held a special meeting on the Budget yesterday and made additional changes to the budget numbers, which need to be incorporated before the Budget Documents are presented to Parliament. Given the large size of the documents, the Minister has determined that it would not be possible to reproduce the documents in time for his speech.

Accordingly, the Budget Speech presentation will now take place in Parliament on Friday, 30 March 2007.
