The Ministry of Finance and Development Planning (MFDP) invites tenders from locally registered companies for the provision and installation of 9 Diesel Generators to be mounted at nine Sub Accountancies.

Requirements and Pre-requisites.
Bidders are expected to:
a) Include company profile
b) Provide Postal and Physical Addresses
c) Show that they have supplied similar equipment previously
d) Include at least two referees and their contact details
e) Pay 5% source tax in terms of the Income Tax Act of 1993
f) Submit a copy of relevant Trader’s license certified at source
g) Submit copy of Tax Clearance Certificates, certified at source;
h) Include V.A.T in their prices;
i) Provide a clear break-down of the tender price.
j) Include one year On-site Maintenance contract.
k) Be registered with government as a vendor/supplier
l) Provide a well secure shelter for generator. Must build bricks/blocks walls with iron sheet roofing. The shelter must have sufficient ventilation
m) Build at least 30 cm concrete slab for mounting the generator


SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE DIESEL GENERATOR

30KVA Diesel Generator:
a) Lower noise level: 60~68 dB (A).
b) Digital control panel
c) State-of-the-art design and compact structure.
d) Auto-warning oil system to strengthen the safety of unit.


Additional Requirements

a) Site visits will be divided into two phases ( northern and southern districts) and conducted on the 22 and 23 December, 2009 and interested parties should assemble at Finance House; Ground Floor at 6:30 am.
b) All interested parties for site visits are expected to register by 21 December, 2009


SUBMISSION
All Tenderers should deposit one original and four copies of sealed tenders in the tender box at the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning, 3rd Floor, Government Office Complex Phase III, not later than 12 January 2009 by 1200hrs. Tenders will be opened in the presence of bidders or their representatives who choose to attend at 1430hrs on the same day at the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning, Tender Boardroom.

Tenders should be clearly marked TENDER FOR DIESEL GENERATOR.

Selection Criteria would be based on:
• The pricing
• Time frame for delivery (maximum is 1 month upon issuance of tender)

Validity of Tenders
All tenders must be valid for 60 working days from date of opening.
