THE DISTRICT OF PROCUREMENT UNIT BEREA, INVITES TENDERS FROM INTERESTED LOCAL REGISTERD COMPANIES FOR THE PROVISION OF SECURITY SERVICES FOR D.A.O BEREA FROM 1ST NOVEMBER 2008 TO 31ST MARCH 2009 AT THE FOLLOWING PLACES.

Phuthiatsana Project -                      Two Armed Security Guards (i.e. 24 Hour Service)
Phuthiatsana Workshop -                Two Armed Security Guards (i.e. 24 Hour Service)
Sefikeng Resource Centre -            One Armed Security Guard
Pilot Resource Centre -                    One Armed Security Guard
Maqhaka Resource Centre -           One Armed Security Guard
Teyateyaneng Resource Centre -  One Armed Security Guard
Mapoteng Resource Centre -          One Armed Security Guard
Corn Exchange Resource Centre -One Armed Security Guard
`Makhoroana -                                     One Armed Security Guard
Kolojane -                                              One Armed Security Guard
T.Y. Veterinary Clinic -                       One Armed Security Guard
Lekokoaneng -                                    One Armed Security Guard

THE HOURS FOR ONE SECURITY GUARD SHALL BE FROM 6.00 pm TO 6.00am.


TERMS OF REFERENCE

SPECIFICATIONS:

1. The Security Company shall take full responsibility for any theft or damage to D.A.O`s property arising out of the negligence of its personnel.
2. Ensure that their Personnel are well trained.
3. Personnel should be fully armed at all times with gun day and night while on duty
4. Attached copies of firearms license.
5. Should have a two way radio (Rojaroja) and attach certified copy of two way radio (Rojaroja) or must have a cellphone.
6. Prove that it has adequate capacity for efficient and effective mode of transport and communication to cover 12 areas mentioned above. ( Prove of transport)
7. The personnel should wear uniform while on duty.
8. Attached certificate copy of insurance and comply with the tendered company name. (Workman’s compensation)
9. Certified copy of Police Clearance.
10. Compulsory site visit will be arranged.
11. Must provide a track record of the company.
12. Bidders are requested to attend a compulsory site visit on 7th and 8th October 2008

THE BIDS WILL BE OPENED ON THE SAME DAY AT 1430 HRS.


NB: ALL POTENTIAL CONTRACTORS ARE ADVISED TO NOTE THAT SUPPLIERS TO LESOTHO GOVERNMENT ARE EXPECTED TO BE IN COMPLIANCE WITH THEIR VALID TAX OBLIGATIONS AND ATTACH CERTIFIED COPIES OF VAT AND INCOME TAX CLEARANCE CERTIFICATES, AND RELEVANT
TRADERS `LICENCES. ALL COPIES SHOULD BE CERTIFIED AT SOURCE. EACH COMPANY`S LIABILITY IN CASES OF LOSS SHOULD BE CLEARLY INDICATED.


THE GOVERNMENT OF LESOTHO IS NOT BOUND TO ACCEPT THE LOWEST OR ANY TENDER
