EXPRESSION
OF INTEREST
The
Government of Lesotho through Ministry of Agriculture and
Food invites individuals/consultants to submit their
expression of interest for the preparation of strategic and
Business plan for Lesotho Agricultural College.
Since its establishment in 1954 as Maseru Agricultural
School and today Lesotho Agricultural College (LAC), with
the major objective of producing young Basotho men and
women, well trained in various fields of agriculture at
certificate and diploma levels to be field extension agents
for the ministry of agriculture and food security.
With the ever changing environment and increasing challenges
against which Lesotho’s agriculture is operating and faced
with, it is mandatory that LAC change, in order to meet the
challenges agriculture in Lesotho faces. It is through the
implementation of the first five years Strategic and
Business Plans of LAC, that it’s envisaged and meaningful
contribution to the reversal of the negative trend of
agricultural performance and contribution to the national
economy, may be attained.
The
Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security now invites
eligible individuals/consultants to indicate their interest
in providing the services. Interested
individuals/consultants must provide information indicating
that they are qualified to perform the services (Description
of similar assignments, experience relevant to the service
required, availability of appropriate skills among staff,
etc).
Expression of interest from prospective consultants should
specify the following information:

individual/consultant

Capability profile of the
individual/consultant
Expression of interest must be submitted in sealed envelope
and clearly marked
“Expression of interest for the Preparation of Strategic and
Business Plan for Lesotho Agricultural College”
and must be deposited into a tender box situated at the
Ministry of Agriculture Administration Building ground
floor, or be posted to the following address:

SUBMISSION
Closing date for the submission is on
Monday 30th June
2008 at 16.00hrs while the opening will be on
Tuesday 1st July
2008 at 9.00hrs.
NB:
All prospective suppliers to the Government of Lesotho
should be tax compliant and should attach certified copies
of income tax, tax clearance certificate and trader’s
license to their documents. Copies must be certified by
their issuing departments. Price should include tax.
