TENDER NOTICE

The Ministry of Finance and Development Planning (MFDP) invites tenders from registered companies for the Provision of GPS RECEIVERS for field area measurement 2009/2010 financial year agricultural census.

Specifications of the required GPS.

1. Accuracy; closing error of the field (polygon) must be + or -2%
2. Must be compatible with mountains and slope areas
3. It must be user-friendly, that is easily used by people who are not computer literate
4. Must have rechargeable batteries
5. Post-processing software must be included

REQUIREMENTS

1. Provide company profile
2. Provide physical address
3. Maintenance contract must be included
4. Training must be included at least two days
5. Must be delivered within 14 days
6. Include at least two referees and their contacts
7. Include VAT in the tender price
8. Submit copy of valid appropriate operating license, certified at source
9. Submit copy of valid Tax Clearance Certificate and the traders licence, certified at source
10. Provide a clear breakdown of the tender price
11. Include a Memorandum of Association
12. Clearly show warranty period


Submission
All bidders should deposit one original and four copies of sealed tenders in the tender box at the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning, 3rd Floor, Government office Complex Phase III, not later than Tuesday 24th February 2009 at 1200hrs. Tenders will be opened in the presence of bidders or their representatives who choose to attend at 1430 hrs on the same day at the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning, Tender Boardroom.


Tenders should be clearly marked “TENDER FOR PROVISION OF 4 GPS RECEIVERS FOR BUREAU OF STATISTICS”


Validity of tenders
All tenders must be valid for 90 days from the date of opening.
